The Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department's Feature Friday

Each Friday, The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department features something new for residents and visitors to learn more about. This week's comes with great news: the Jennerjohn parking lot has been reopened!

Jennerjohn Park is a 25 acre park located in the heart of Greenville. As one of Greenville’s most popular parks, it has a lot to offer! It’s existing facilities include a pavilion, grills, picnic tables, casual play baseball field, tennis courts, off street parking, playground, Heritage Fountain, natural trails, and access to the recreational trail system. In the winter, there’s a sledding hill, ice skating rink and cross country ski trails.

Construction to the parking lot accessed from Rickey Lane began in September and wrapped up earlier this week. The parking lot was reconstructed to be more efficient for both parking and stormwater maintenance. The overall size of the parking lot was increased to accommodate 9 additional parking stall and stormwater facilities were installed to direct water to the pond.
