The Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department's Feature Friday

Each Friday, The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department features something new for residents and visitors to learn more about. This week, we want to tell you about The Kimberly Court trail paving project.

This trail project was designed to provide safer travel between the section of trail on Kimberly Court and the Greenville Middle School. The trail now provides off-street pedestrian accommodations and connects to the existing trail system on Fawn Ridge Drive. Prior to this paving project, the Kimberly Court Trail ended where the cul-de-sac began.

The project included removing the existing driveway and culverts, installing storm sewer, filling the existing ditches, and then grading and paving a new 10 foot asphalt trail. This trail system connects Jennerjohn Park to Lions Park and passes by both the middle school and the YMCA along the way.
