Town of Greenville to Advance to Step II of Reopening Strategy - June 22, 2020

The Town of Greenville will be moving into Step II of the COVID-19 Reopening Strategy on Monday, June 22, 2020.

Greenville's approach is complementary to the guidelines and recommendations of the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

For any business that needs to be conducted with the Town of Greenville, we ask people to consider first visiting our website or calling the appropriate office or staff person. We offer many options to serve your needs without making an in-person visit. You will be able to continue accessing Town services online throughout via:  



Should you choose to do business at a Town facility upon reopening, please be assured the following mitigation measures will be in place prior to the reopening of Town facilities
  • Plexi-glass dividers will be present at all public facing counters.
  • Social distancing measures will be in place to limit the number of people in facilities when necessary.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available at all locations.
  • Town staff have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting all surfaces and high touch areas and objects.
  • Town staff is being encouraged to wear face coverings when in public settings where other physical barriers or social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. 

General Public Guidelines 

We need your help to ensure our phased reopening strategy is successful. Please help us and each other by continuing to follow these general guidelines throughout all steps:
  • Practice social distancing and maintain 6 feet of distance whenever possible.
  • Per CDC recommendation, wear a face covering if you are able, when in public.
  • Practice proper handwashing. Wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds.
  • Regularly clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
  • Stay home if you are feeling sick. 

Reopening Step II - Beginning on Monday, June 22 at 8:00 a.m.


The following will occur during Step II:
  • Town Hall will open to the public in order to conduct simple in-person business with the Administrative Offices, Building Inspection, and Community Development. Customer service functions for Public Works, Parks & Forestry, and Utilities will be coordinated at Town Hall during this Step.
  • Public Works & Parks & Forestry offices will remain closed to the general public.
  • Fire station visits and tours will remain unavailable.
  • Town Board, Planning Commission, and other public open meetings will take place as routinely scheduled.  Attendees will be able to participate virtually or in-person. 
  • Person-to-person meetings between the general public and staff will continue to be suspended during this time. Please work directly with the appropriate staff member to schedule a phone conference or web-based meeting.
  • Park facilities will be open for general use in accordance with the Outagamie County Health Department’s Order of the Local Health Officer. Group activities can occur for gatherings of up to 50 people. Park shelter rentals will be permits will be granted for groups of 50 people or less.   • The Town’s yard waste drop-off facility will be open under the expanded, modified hours of Mon & Wed 6:30 am to 7 pm; Tues & Thurs 6:30 am – 3:30 pm; Fri 6:30 am -12:30 pm; & Sat 9 am -3 pm.
  • Town Employees who are able, and are not expected to provide in-person customer service with the general public, will be encouraged to telecommute.
