Recorded & Indexed Videos of Town Meetings Now Available Online

The Town of Greenville has recently launched a new tool to publish meeting agendas, agenda packets, minutes and recorded video streams using a software package from Granicus.

This new tool allows the Town to post indexed meeting agendas, minutes and recorded video content from past meetings in a more user friendly manner.

Ground Breaking Ceremony Held for New Fire & Safety Building

A ceremonial groundbreaking was held for the new Greenville Fire & Safety Building.  The event took place on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the construction site of the new facility. (Northwest corner of STH 76 and Parkview Drive).

Local elected leaders, officers of the Fire Department & First Responders, appointed staff and representatives from the Five Bugles Design and Miron Construction were on hand the help turn shovels.

This new 24,000 square foot facility will help the Department meet the service needs of the community and provide a safe working environment for our volunteers & staff now and well into the future. 

Weekly Law Enforcement Report - 2nd Week of May 2019

Here is a summary of some of the higher priority calls in Greenville. Also attached is a weekly summary for all calls in the Town of Greenville.
 　
2nd week of May, 05/06/2019 to 05/12/2019

Burglary- DS Storage Units Hwy 96 

A Deputy was dispatched for a Burglary complaint at DS Storage. The Deputy arrived on scene and discovered the suspect had used a bolt cutters to cut off the doors pin locking mechanism to gain entry. A Jeep brush guard was taken along with several old metal toys. No other storage units have been broken into in the area. This complaint was forwarded to investigations and extra patrol will be done.

Theft - Contractor Dr 　

A Deputy was dispatched for a stolen snow plow. The deputy made contact with the victim via telephone. Victim advised that his brand new Boss DXT snow plow had been stolen. The victim was able to provide a serial # and cost of snow plow $6,000.00 to the Deputy. Deputy investigated further and was able to get video footage of suspect vehicle stealing the plow. Further investigation will be done regarding this theft.

Damage- Greenville FedEx

Deputies were dispatched for a damage complaint. The victim stated that her vehicle had been damaged by an ex boyfriend. Deputies spoke with the victim who stated that her ex boyfriend and her had broken up and that he wrote cheater on her car. She provided video proof of her ex doing this via her phone. Deputies interviewed further where they found out that it was a domestic relationship. Deputies followed proper domestic procedure including paperwork. Deputies were able to locate the suspect with assistance from another agency and the suspect was arrested for Domestic Disorderly Conduct and Graffiti.

Welfare check on Juvenile.

A Deputy was dispatched for an out of control juvenile. Deputy arrived and spoke with juvenile who was out of control kicking and yelling. After a brief interview it was discovered the juvenile wanted to inflict self harm on themselves. Juvenile agreed to self committal for mental health evaluation and support.

Weapons call Appleton Airport.

A Deputy was dispatched for an uncooperative male at the airport. The Deputy arrived and interviewed the suspect and it was determined the male was attempting to conceal a knife and 3 bottles of CBD (THC) oil within his luggage bag when going through TSA. The suspect was cited for attempting to bring a weapon on the airplane. The items were taken as evidence.

Traffic Stops.

Greenville residents have been complaining about traffic going through closed road signs on Julius Dr between School Rd and Spring Rd. Deputies have been doing extra patrol and making traffic enforcement stops. This will continue until road work is completed.

Tennis Lessons

Did you know that Greenville offers tennis lessons? The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department holds lessons twice a week at the Jennerjohn Park for children ages 3-17. Participants can choose from several different class options that are held on either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays. Each class is one hour long. Classes are taught by qualified instructors and are based on the United Stated Professional Tennis Registry standard of teaching. Each lesson focuses on at least one stroke going over correct grip and progressions of the stroke.

Registration for 2019 classes runs from April 15 –May 24 and is accepted on a first come first serve basis. Registration forms can be mailed to the Parkes, Recreation and Forestry Department at PO Box 60, Greenville, WI 54942 or dropped off in person at the Parks office at W6895-B Parkview Drive. Forms can also be deposited in the 24 hour utility payment drop box located at Town Hall. Forms must be filled out completely, signed by an adult and submitted with full payment to be valid. Class fees are $30 per child of Greenville residency or $50 for children living outside of Greenville. Classes fill fast so don't forget to register early! Classes will run every week from June 10 – July 25, except for the week of July 1 which will be an off week due to the holiday. In the case of inclement weather or saturated courts, classes will be canceled.
