Greenville Project Updates

The projects detailed below are large scale projects happening in addition to our regular, day to day, operations. Their completion may be managed by village staff or the services may be contracted with a third party. Please remember that all of the information and time lines are weather dependent and subject to change at any time. Streets

  • Greenwood Road Reconstruction
    • Week of 10/18/21: Finish Concrete work and restoration south of Cedar Lane. Installation of sidewalk north of Cedar Lane with driveway aprons to follow.
    • Week of 10/25/21: Finish Concrete work north of Cedar Lane and paving to happen this week. Restoration will start to take place this week as well.
    • The Village will be reinstalling fire numbers, and residents are responsible for mailbox installation. A letter will be delivered to your door notifying you of temporary mailbox removal date. Next year the final lift of asphalt will be installed, along with the speed-tables at the intersections of Lilac, Rickey and Parkview. There will also be trees planted in the terrace.


Water & Sewer

  • STH 76 Force Main & Lift Station Improvements
    • Week of 10/18/21: Bypass is underway at both Lift Station 1 and 2 valve vault and wet well piping is near complete. Lift Station liner installation is complete at LS 2 and being installed at Lift station 1.
    • Week of 10/25/21: Valve vault and wet well bypass work continues at Lift Station 1 and 2. Lift Station 2 manhole and main installation is to be completed. Lift Station and valve Vault equipment and pipe work continues at Lift Station 2.

Parks, Recreation & Forestry

  • Jennerjohn Park Parking Lot Reconstruction
    • The parking lot accessed from Rickey Lane will be reconstructed to be more efficient for parking and stormwater facilities will be installed to direct water to the pond. Construction was planned to begin August 30 but is delayed due to supply issues. Completion is scheduled for the beginning of November. This lot will be CLOSED during construction. The park will remain open with parking available in the Meadowview Drive lot. Trail access from Rickey Lane will remain open.
    • Week of 10/18/2021: Install concrete curb & gutter
    • Week of 10/25/2021: Fine grading & asphalt paving
  • Lions Park Development
    • The Lions Club has resumed work on the southeast corner of the park with completion of the sport courts. The Lions Club have decided to change the planned tennis court area to a dedicated pickle ball facility. The facility will include 8 pickle ball courts. Additional facilities will include sand volleyball, tennis and basketball. Please keep clear of this area while work continues.
  • Community Park Redevelopment
    • The Village is working with Cedar Corporation to continue planning and design work for the potential redevelopment of Community Park. This is a partnership project between the Village, Greenville Youth Sports and Greenville Civic Club.
