Greenville Project Updates

The projects detailed below are large scale projects happening in addition to our regular, day to day, operations. Their completion may be managed by village staff or the services may be contracted with a third party. Please remember that all of the information, and time lines, are weather dependent and subject to change at any time.

Streets


Water & Sewer

  • STH 76 Force Main & Lift Station Improvements
    • Week of May 17, 2021: Force main installation north of Maple Terrace Road to the Tracks.
    • Week of May 24, 2021: Force main installation continues.
    • Week of June 7, 2021: STH 76 Railroad crossing will be closed.
  • Annual Sewer Cleaning and Televising
    • This process will likely continue through the end of May. Affected areas can be see here.
    • Toilets in affected areas may "burp" during this cleaning process. We advise that you keep your toilet lids down to avoid any back splash of water.

Parks, Recreation & Forestry

  • Schultz Farm Road
    • The construction of Schultz Farm Road, which provides access to the Sports Complex and Well #5, is scheduled for completion this summer. Work has resumed with the relocation of utilities. Following the utility work, Vinton Construction will complete the project with construction of the right turn lane and paving the road surface north of Hwy 96. 
  • Lions Park Street Lighting
    • WE Energies has completed installation of the new street lighting for Lions Park. Village staff will be working to remove the old lighting.
  • Jennerjohn Park Parking Lot Reconstruction
    • Staff is currently working with Cedar Corporation on the design for the reconstruction of the main Jennerjohn Park parking lot. The lot will be designed to be more efficient for parking and stormwater facilities will be installed to direct water to the pond. Construction is planned for September/October.
  • Lions Park Development
    • The Lions Club will be resuming work on the southeast corner of the park this summer with completion of the tennis courts, basketball courts and sand volleyball court. The tennis courts will also be striped to accommodate pickle ball.
  • Community Park Redevelopment
    • The Village will be working with Cedar Corporation this summer to continue planning and design work for the potential redevelopment of Community Park. This is a partnership project between the Village, Greenville Youth Sports and Greenville Civic Club.
