John is one our dedicated labor employees here in the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department. He grew up in Sioux City, Iowa. When he started 5 years ago, he split his time between Parks and Public Works but now, works full time in Parks, Recreations and Forestry!
We asked John to tell us a little more about himself and here’s what he said:
Q: What inspired you to work in parks, recreation and forestry?
A: I raised a great family here, and now want to give back.
Q: What is your favorite part of your job?
A: I enjoy working outside and with a great team.
Q: As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A: I wanted to be president (don’t all kids?!) ..or a bull rider.
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: Hunt, fish, and travel to warm places
Q: What do you wish the public knew about Greenville Parks and Rec?
A: How much our staff cares about people and our parks!
