Generally, after the first accumulating snowfall event, we field phone calls and email messages from area residents informing us of our snow and ice control efforts.
Each snow event is unique and our response to the event requires a thorough evaluation. Although we're not able to devise a policy that can address every individual weather-related winter event, it is important to have a baseline to provide guidance to ensure timely, cost-effective winter maintenance.
Snow and ice control is a significant annual expenditure. The Town has budgeted $188,092 for the 2019 fiscal year. In an effort to be efficient and effective with Town resources (funds), the Town adopted a formal snow and ice control program policy (see link below).
If you have any questions or concerns about our snow and ice control activities, please contact the Public Works Office at (920) 757-7276.
