Weekly Law Enforcement Report - 3rd Week of May 2019

Below is a brief summary of some of the higher priority calls in Greenville.

Also attached is a weekly summary for all calls in the Town of Greenville.

Drug tip in the area from an anonymous person 

A Deputy received a tip about possible drug activity in the area from an anonymous person. The Deputy has been surveillance on the suspected home(s) for short term traffic in an attempt to make traffic stops. The Deputy has also been contacting and working with the MEG unit regarding this issue. Surveillance and follow up will continue.

Greenville Middle School

A Deputy was requested to respond to the Greenville Middle School for a juvenile requesting nude pictures from other students. The Deputy spoke with the school and determined that nothing criminal had happened. Deputy spoke with parents of the child regarding solutions for this behavior and other options.

Dog Complaint

A Deputy was dispatched for a dog at large. Deputy spoke with homeowners regarding the issue. The suspect is a ongoing problem not keeping his dog in his yard. The Deputy issued another citation to the suspect. The Deputy also spoke with the reporting parties regarding the court process and how it takes time. Reporting parties understood it takes time through the court process.  The reporting individuals were not happy about not removing the dog due to the ongoing issue. However, current municipal Code does not allow for the removal of the animal for this type of issue.  The Deputy explained that they could seek removal through civil court action or contact the Town Board about their concerns.
 

The Town of Greenville contracts with the Outagamie County Sheriff's Department for enhanced law enforcement services for the Town. Deputy Garret Richards is devoted to serving Greenville by providing directed law enforcement to the community.
