Greenville Project Updates

The projects detailed below are large scale projects happening in addition to our regular, day to day, operations. Their completion may be managed by village staff or the services may be contracted with a third party. Streets

  • Greenwood Road Reconstruction
    • Week of 10/4/21: Restoration, and paving south of Cedar Lane. Finish cutting and stoning road with concrete work to follow north of Cedar Lane.
    • Week of 10/11/21: Finish paving south of Cedar Lane and continue with restoration. Continue pouring concrete with paving and restoration to follow north of Cedar Lane.

Water & Sewer

  • STH 76 Force Main & Lift Station Improvements
    • Week of 10/4/2021: Lift Station 2 valve vault and wet well piping is near complete. Valve vault piping and wet well bypass is underway at Lift Station 1. Lift Station liner installation is complete at LS 2 and being planned for Lift station 1.
    • Week of 10/11/2021: Valve vault and wet well bypass work continues at Lift Station 1. Lift Station 2 bypass to begin, manhole installation and bypass preparation near Lift Station 2. Lift Station and valve Vault and piping work continues at Lift Station 2.

Parks, Recreation & Forestry

  • Jennerjohn Park Parking Lot Reconstruction
    • The parking lot accessed from Rickey Lane will be reconstructed to be more efficient for parking and stormwater facilities will be installed to direct water to the pond. Construction was planned to begin August 30 but is delayed due to supply issues. Completion is scheduled for mid-October. This lot will be CLOSED during construction. The park will remain open with parking available in the Meadowview Drive lot. Trail access from Rickey Lane will remain open.
  • Lions Park Development
    • The Lions Club has resumed work on the southeast corner of the park with completion of the sport courts. The Lions Club have decided to change the planned tennis court area to a dedicated pickle ball facility. The facility will include 8 pickle ball courts. Additional facilities will include sand volleyball, tennis and basketball. Please keep clear of this area while work continues.
  • Community Park Redevelopment
    • The Village is working with Cedar Corporation to continue planning and design work for the potential redevelopment of Community Park. This is a partnership project between the Village, Greenville Youth Sports and Greenville Civic Club.
