The Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department's Feature Friday

Each Friday, the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department features something new for residents and visitors to learn more about. This week, we want to give you a project update!

Did you notice some work taking place this fall along Hwy 96 by the Sports Complex? That was Phase 1 of the construction of Schultz Farm Road. Phase 1 included the construction of a bypass lane on the south side of Hwy 96 and the construction of the road base outside of the right of way on the north side of Hwy 96. Phase 2 will be completed in spring after the relocation of conflicting utilities and will consist of construction of the right turn lane on the north side of Hwy 96, paving of Schultz Farm Road and connection to Hwy 96. Schultz Farm Road is an officially mapped Town road that will not only serve as a new, safer access to the Sports Complex, but will also serve the new Well #5 and a private residence. This roadway also provides future access to any potential other development in the area.
