07/08/19 to 07/21/2019.

summary for all calls in the Town of Greenville.
Drugs
A Deputy was dispatched for a drug complaint at the Greenville Airport. The Deputy arrived on scene and spoke with the suspect regarding the suspected drug. The Deputy conducted a field use drug use which indicated a positive result for Cocaine. Deputy contacted the drug unit regarding this incident and it was determined if suspect was willing to work with MEG they would allow the suspect to continue on his flight and make contact when he returned as he was a local resident. Deputy spoke with suspect about possible arrangement but suspect would not cooperate and Deputy took suspect into custody for possession of Cocaine.
Catfish Races
Catfish Races had a packed crowd selling out all 10,000 tickets! Deputies patrolled the grounds both Friday and Saturday night. Friday night Deputies spoke with families and handed out stickers to children and were active in community policing. One child was separated from her father Friday night and Deputies were able to safely return child to her father. Saturday night Deputies operated in 2 man patrol units walking the grounds to ensure public safety. During Saturday evening multiple people complained about feeling weak or dehydrated and were taken to the first aid tents. No disturbances or arrests were made Saturday, had a great crowd and event!
High Risk Stop Hwy 76 / Hwy 15
Deputies were dispatched to check the welfare of a subject who stated that he wanted to end his life and was currently in possession of a .38 caliber handgun. The Deputies were asked to assist Clintonville PD and check the area of the park and ride on Hwy 96 and Hwy 45 as the suspects phone was pinged at that location. Deputies arrived on scene are were not able to locate the suspect. Other cell phone pings were placing the suspect in the Greenville area. Later in the evening Hortonville spotted the suspect vehicle on Hwy 15 headed East. Deputies in the area performed a high risk traffic stop on the suspect vehicle. No firearm was located. Deputies found drug paraphernalia and heroin on the suspect. Suspect wanted to do a self committal for his mental state. Deputies will be forwarding the suspect up on drug charges.
Tornado and storms
Deputies received numerous calls for wires down in the roadway, trees in the roadway, flooding, power outages, etc. Deputies worked closely with the Town and FD to get these calls taken care of in a safe and timely manner. Due to the heavy damage done to the trees and nearly all residents having branches/trees down. Some residents have complained about generator noise. Deputies have explained that due to the power outage in areas this is allowed and they will not be enforcing any nuisance complaints regarding this until power has been returned to the residents.
