Free Tire Drop Off
The dates for the fall 2019 free tire drop-off are Wednesday, September 11 – Wednesday, September 19. Tires can only be brought to the Greenville Waste Site during this week. Tires will not be accepted at the Town during any other time, however can be dropped at the Outagamie County Landfill for a fee. Collection is limited to Town of Greenville Residents only, with the limit of 4 tires per household. Tires from businesses are not accepted. Only tires with a rim size of 18”or less will be accepted at no charge. For all tires with a rim size of 19" or larger in size or a quantity of over 4, the resident will be charged $5.00 per tire at the Town of Greenville Municipal Building; or $175.00 per ton if taken directly to the Outagamie County Landfill/Recycling Center (1419 Holland Rd, Appleton). The Parks, Recreation & Forestry Departments's Feature Friday
Each Friday, the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department features something new for residents and visitors to learn more about. This week we want to tell you about a project at the Pebble Ridge Park!
In August, we contracted with Northeast Asphalt to pave the trail at Pebble Ridge Park. They paved approximately 1,600 feet of 8 foot wide trail. Prior to paving, the trail was all gravel and frequently washed out, creating low spots. These low spots retained water and made it difficult to use after a rainfall.
This new
paved section of trail provides an overall cleaner, safer, surface for users.
It starts at the Pebble Ridge Road entrance then runs through the prairie and
along the stormwater pond before meeting up with the trail system on Design
Drive. The paving branches off to align
with the entrances of woods on either side of the prairie. The wooded section
of the trail will remain gravel. It would be very difficult, and expensive, to
pave through the woods and would result in the loss of many trees.

Town Strategic Plan Helps Guide Decision Making in Greenville
A strategic plan is a top level planning tool for an organization to establish clear policy direction over all operational aspects of its vision.
The Town's 2019-2023 Strategic Plan will serve as a framework for decision making over a five-year period. The plan will be the result of a disciplined effort to facilitate decisions that will shape what the Town intends to accomplish. The plan will incorporate an assessment of the present state of Town governance, the gathering of critical information, setting goals and finally making decisions for the future. The planning process ultimately seeks to strengthen and build upon opportunities while addressing areas of concern.
